With a “rock star” last name, Joey Rockenstein, (his real last name,) knew he was destined for comedy, after learning one commonality from working various jobs ranging from “Pool-Lifeguard,” to “Bartender,” to portraying “Batman” at kid’s parties: it didn’t matter what he did… Joey was funny!
Joey is the youngest of four, raised in a strict Irish household. “Growing up, we didn’t have bed times; we had ‘last call’!”
As a kid, armed with a razor-quick-wit, Joey knew the best way to get out of a fight was to make everyone laugh so hard that they forgot there was supposed to be a fight. And if that didn’t work, punch and run!
After completing the BFA Acting program at UCSB, Joey graduated summa cum laude at The I.O. West improv and writing programs in Los Angeles. He now is a current performer and writer for many mainstage shows.
Performing regularly at The World Famous Improvs, Comedy Store, and Ice House in Los Angeles, and clubs, casinos, colleges, and corporate events all over the country, Joey Rockenstein delivers comedy absolution to audiences everywhere he takes the stage!
